Is Intermittent Fasting good for you

Let’s start with what is intermittent fasting?

Intermittent fasting is not a diet plan; it is a way of eating meals.  It is done by scheduling your meals in a way that you can get enough energy and meal skip time.  Most of the diet plans alter the things you eat and you become bound to specific foods.  On the other hand, intermittent fasting does not change food items.  It changes the time of eating.  People try it to cut fats by taking the same normal calories but fast for approximately 16 to 18 hours.  Intermittent fasting is a good way to get lean muscle mass.  And, it is simple enough to make a change without much effort.  There isn’t any counting calories or points or weighing food.  However, it is still important to eat a healthy diet (no matter what you choose to do).

Does Intermittent Fasting work?

Well, this is the most searched question on the internet.  People do not take it seriously because our minds have been conditioned and are stuck to “strict diet plans” and “intake of fewer calories”.  They do not know the difference between the fasted condition and fed condition.  To understand this, you have to know the reaction of the body in both states.

During the “fed condition” state, you are eating constantly three to four times a day, but the body does not have enough time to absorb food and digest it completely.  So, the result is fat is left unburned.  In the “fasted condition” the body gets enough time to digest the fats and food is completely absorbed.  When we do not eat for 16 to 18 hours, our body automatically switches to burn the stored body fats.  You can schedule your intermittent fasting according to your needs.   Most people do do it for 12 to 14 hours or 16 to 18 hours.  Make sure you skip one meal out of three.   I found it easiest to skip breakfast or dinner.  You should eat the other meals depending on what meal you choose to skip.

Pros of Intermittent fasting:

Fat burning:

Stored fat is the kind of energy or calories in our body. Our body is under the control of the nervous system. During intermittent fasting, the metabolism is altered. The level of Insulin decreases and ultimately body initiates to burn the fats. Moreover, Human Growth hormone enhances to 5 folds during the fasted state. It helps in calories burn and ultimately aids in weight loss. Noradrenaline is also sent to the fat cells so they can start breaking and burn calories.

It is the most interesting benefit of intermittent fasting. According to John Newman, Nutrition and aging are very closely linked. Well, it has now proved that it adds to your age. The calories deficient diet always paves the way to life-lengthening. According to research, you must eat less than your hunger. Never try to fill up your stomach.
