Becoming your best self
Never lose the sparkle in your eye, the fire in your belly and the steel in your character. You can achieve anything if you have passion and fire in your belly! You just need hard work, courage, and patience. Every person has a vision and image in their mind about what they want to do in their life. If you work hard and stay focused to achieve that vision then no one can stop you once you’ve reach your goal! It is important to know who your best self is so that you can try to reinvent yourself in the way you want. Are you willing to transform yourself in a way that you have never dreamed of throughout your life? Following are some tips that will lead you toward success and to achieve your desired goal.
Get yourself out of your comfort zone
Do you want to live as an ordinary common person and die as a person that no one knew? Or with regrets? Get out of your comfort zone and try some new things by looking at it as an adventure. Strong people do not wait for opportunities they go get opportunities by themselves. By doing new things, you will learn a lot of new aspects about yourself, or maybe find a hidden talent; like you might be a good artist.
When you are trying new things, make sure you get some time for rest and things you enjoy. You can go for outing or can spend time with family and friends because continuous self improvement, will make you tired both mentally and physically.
Chase your dream
What is your biggest dream? What do you want more than anything else? Try to answers these questions and that will help you understand your priorities. When you have a clear vision of your dream, it will help you to make a plan to fulfill your dreams.
Adopt Good habits
Appreciate yourself for good things and replace your bad habits with new and good ones. When you are struggling to adopt new things, you may find it difficult at first, but do not lose hope and keep trying. For example, you want to start an exercise program? Start with 5 minutes and then increase your time daily until you get your targeted time. Things are not as difficult as we make them in our minds, you just need to start with small achievable goals.
We have different feelings on different days. Maybe one day you wake up with no feeling, low energy and with an “off” mind. When you find yourself feeling this way, why not do those things which makes you happy or keeps you motivated? Find the fire in your belly and work on things you want to do the most and can’t forget. Those things that motivate you even when you are busy. Write your dreams and see them every day (try a vision board). Take a good look at your vision and make sure you are either 1) trying to reach them or 2) just wasting your life on that stuff that you never wanted to do in the first place. As a side note if you are doing something just to make money or to impress someone then you will fall short every time!
You can also make a list of things or ideas that motivate you, and whenever you feel you are getting tired or frustrated you can review those ideas to help motivate you. If a person writes just four words in their diary that will keep you motivated throughout your life write “I can do it”. We are always our own biggest critic, turn that voice off in your head that is the “Negative Nelly”.
If you are confused about where you can start or even where you are at seek help from a mentor, a friend that can be honest with you (even when it hurts to hear) or even a professional coach or councilor. This person should help you to connect your dreams and visions. Some also achieve this through meditation and relaxation therapies. Bottom line sometimes we hit a block, whether it be a physical one or a mental one, and seeking help to get around that is the best way to move forward!
Take care of yourself
If you want to perform better, then you must have a healthy body and mind. Take a look at your daily routine. Are you getting enough sleep? Is your diet healthy? Are you making time for exercise or you are just doing work, work and more work? If you are just focusing on your work, it will eventually make you sick. Try to set your routine so that you can take care of yourself and make sure you are in top shape mentally and physically.
Your mental health is also important. In your free time meditate and give thanks for those things that you have achieved in your life. This will help to enhance your level of motivation and you will see things in a more positive way than you did before.
Monitor your Progress
Just planning something is not enough. You should regularly monitor your progress. You should look at what you are doing best and take a look at the things you are struggling with. After every month reset your monthly plan, and look at where you are towards you goals. Then, add some new activities to keep you moving forward towards your dreams.
These steps above will help you in your quest to becoming the best you you can be. When you look back on your life you will be able to see that in your life there were lots off achievements and smiles.
